Here at AMA New Jersey, we seek to LEAD – in our industry, in our community, and for our volunteers.

Leadership

If leadership is your goal, we can help! No matter the stage of your career, our volunteer process is designed to help you grow based on your personal goals. We want you to learn new skills, experience different aspects of the chapter initiatives, and take a primary role in developing campaigns of your own for AMA New Jersey.

Experience

We strive to provide a holistic experience for each of our volunteers. Diversity, inclusion, and engagement permeate every aspect of our “people process.” We are proactive in providing opporunities for volunteers at all levels to have a voice in the chapter and their personal experience. Every volunteer has direct access to their committee chair, the chapter president, and talent management professionals to ensure a safe environment for personal growth.

Development

Many of our volunteers come to us seeking to gain experience in a specific area of marketing and communications. Each prospective volunteer goes through a series of interviews with our LEAD team, their committee chair, and possibly the President or President-Elect if appropriate. Through these interviews, we get to know you and your personal goals. Then, we are able to help you leverage opportunities within the chapter to be successful in your professional development endeavors.

Our 100% Volunteer-led Organization

Operationally, the New Jersey Chapter has 5 core volunteer teams led by a President, President-Elect, and Immediate Past President with the support of a Chief Administrative Officer and a Chief Financial Officer.

Communications Team

Creating, maintaining, and amplifying the message of AMA NJ, creating a dialogue with the marketing community through print and digital platforms.

Events Team

The core of AMA NJ operations, connecting, informing, and advancing the marketing community through an array of programming options.
