Committee – Roles vary from person to person given the skills, and time available. AMA currently has 5 committees (listed below) if you are interested in one please apply within and include which committee you are interested in:
Business Intelligence
The Business Intelligence Committee helps to drive the decision-making for AMA NJ. Using survey data, web traffic insights, and statistics from our digital platforms, this team finds patterns and meaningful insights to inform best practices for programming and communication
Integrated Marketing & Communications
The Integrated Marketing & Communications Committee is the voice of AMA NJ to the general public. They are responsible for creating, maintaining and amplifying the message of AMA NJ to create a dialogue with the marketing community through print and digital platforms.
Strategic Partnerships & Programming
The Strategic Partnerships and Programming Committee is responsible for all activities related to both AMA NJ’s programming and external partnerships. This committee drives engagement through events and develops relationships that are mutually beneficial for both AMA NJ and its partners.
People Relations and Engagement
The People Relations and Engagement Committee is integral to ensuring the voice of membership and volunteers is always top of mind for the AMA NJ Board. This committee works to increase membership numbers, recruit and retain volunteers, and the overall engagement of both members and volunteers
C.I.R.C.L.E (Cultivating Inclusion, Representation, Community, Leadership and Engagement)
The Leadership, Experience, and Development (LEAD) is one of the main areas of emphasis under CIRCLE. It combines leadership and skill development with Inclusion Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) initiatives and trainings to embed a people-focused inclusive culture into the DNA of the chapter. CIRCLE is committed to ensuring that our chapter represents our community and that we serve the needs of New Jersey’s diverse population. With this mission, their goals include developing happier volunteers and members, increased engagement, and improved volunteer and member experiences
Collegiate Relations NEW 2025
The Collegiate Relations will help grow and foster AMA NJ’s relationship with our collegiate chapters to help support the next generation of marketing leaders.
Time commitment and reporting requirements:
Respond to the committee lead promptly, and no later than 48 hours
Have a clear understanding of tasks delegated, offer or accept a timeline for the items, and alert the manager if unable to meet deadlines
Speak with C.I.R.C.L.E (Cultivating Inclusion, Representation, Community, Leadership, and Engagement) team to discuss any questions about the team, or tasks as they relate to the functioning of the team – this includes but is not limited to the interest to switch teams
Contribute to the brainstorming of the team – level of involvement can be determined and should be clearly communicated by manager
Serves approximately 6-8 hours per month, depending on the time of year
Attends a minimum of 5 chapter events and programs (free or discounted price)
Attends weekly or biweekly committee calls/meetings
